Proliferatieve enteropathie bij veulens veroorzaakt door de gram negatieve bacterie Lawsonia intracellularis.
Ziektebeeld
- Bij net gespeende veulens van 6-8 maanden oud
- Vage klachten zoals gewichtsverlies, ventraal oedeem, depressie en soms diarree en koliek
Diagnose
- Hypoproteïnemie (<50 g/L) met hypoalbuminemie (<20 g/L)
- Serologie: Lawsonia
- Mest: PCR Lawsonia
- Abdominale echographie: dikwandige dunne darmen
