== Interpretatie ==&lt;br /&gt;
Spontane autoagglutinatie van RBC is gelijk aan een positieve Coomb’s test en diagnostisch voor IHA. Dit gaat meestal gepaard met erge acute anemie, icterus en hemoglobinurie. Antilichamen die RBC doen agglutineren zonder toevoeging van Coomb’s reagens worden volledige Al genoemd. Deze zijn gewoonlijk van het IgM-type. Prognose is gereserveerd.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Koude agglutininen zijn steeds van het IgM-type, maar zeer zeldzaam. Ze kunnen necrose van extremiteiten veroorzaken daar ze de bloedvaten verstoppen waar de temperatuur laag is. De test is meer dan louter agglutinatie vaststellen bij &amp;gt; 37°C. De RBC moeten gescheiden worden en gewassen bij 37°C. Bovendien moet de agglutinatie terug verdwijnen na opwarmen van het bloed.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Cryoglobulines zijn bij honden een zeldzaam gevolg van multiple myeloma of macroglobulinemie. Het zijn paraproteïnen van type IgA of IgM die precipiteren wanneer bloed of serum gekoeld wordt bij 4°C. De precipitaten lossen terug op bij verwarmen tot 37°C. De aandoenig gaat gepaard met intermitterende hemoglobinurie bij koud weer.&lt;br /&gt;
